This service will change your life!
At Brush and Co. we strive to bring only the best products we can get our hands on for our clients. Super-curly hair will relax to a much softer texture and looser curl. Blowing your long, thick hair straight used to take up to 90 minutes, but after a keratin treatment it will cut that time dramatically to about 20 mins, and it has incredible shine!
Most curly hair will relax into a flatter wave when air-dried. If blow dried, hair will dry sleek and silky smooth more quickly and easily then before the treatment.
Naturally wavy hair or hair that is frizzy or puffy will generally come through the treatment with much straighter strands with a natural bend. When air dried, waves will be more compressed but softer and without frizz or puff.
As a general rule keratin treatments will not leave the hair stick straight and flat like other chemical straightening or thermal reconditioning treatments. Like more relaxers, it does leave the hair with body while reducing bulk. The natural curly, wavy texture will be less puffy and will lay flatter. Unlike chemical straightening, the hair will not be limp, flat or stiff.
The new wave of hair straightening is an innovative process that transforms the hair without chemically altering the hair strands, but by sealing the hair in keratin.
This is a powerful volume reduction treatment, it is ideal to tame even the most rebellious type of hair, combining the realignment of hairs to an expressive replenishment of keratin that eliminates the porous aspect, transforming opaque and rough hair into silky straight and very shiny hair.
When colouring the hair, it should be applied before a keratin treatment since colour can’t be applied for a minimum of two weeks after the keratin treatment. The treatment is known to cause accelerated colour fade. Ask your colourist to adjust appropriately. Or we advise and prefer to do a keratin two weeks prior to your colouring service to avoid any discolouration.
It is extremely important to use the appropriate aftercare for the keratin to void deteriorating the service. Paraben and sulphate free products designed especially for keratin services are recommended by Brush and Co, ask your stylist if you have any question during your consultation.
